Reformation Prison Ministries
Trinity Reformation Church is actively involved in prison ministry through Reformation Prison Ministries (RPM). This ministry has been in existence since 1996 and is currently being overseen by the Session at Trinity Reformation Church.
TRC Elder Marty Allen has been the director of RPM since the time of its inception.
RPM is a local ministry. We lead Bible studies each week at Oregon State Penitentiary in Salem, OR. RPM also works with the "family first" project at the Oregon State Correctional Institution in Salem, OR. This project helps facilitate connections between inmate fathers and their wives and children.
RPM has been sending out and grading correspondence courses (The Good News Bible Study) to inmates at various institutions for over six years. There have been well over 350 graduates in this program to date. Each inmate who has graduated has received a graduation certificate, a study Bible, and study helps.
RPM has placed in the hands of inmates literally thousands of Bibles, Christian books, resource books, pamphlets, tracts, devotionals, and the like.
